I have been working on a presentation for about a week now. It is a very important presentation I have been asked to give and I agreed although I don’t have time right now because of other projects I’m working on. However, it is an interesting topic. I will talk about affiliate marketing, search engine optimization and other Internet marketing related stuff.
How Backblaze saved my life – Video
Last night, I almost finished the presentation. I saved it as usual and the next day I tried to open the file. And look what Photoshop gave back to me:
Doh! File doesn't open anymore...and I don't have time to fiddle around
So the file wasn’t readable anymore. I couldn’t open it. I would’ve lost a week of work just because something happened while saving the file to my file system. Fortunately, I am a BackBlaze customer and I have a backup of all my files with Backblaze. Since Backblaze offers unlimited backup I never have to worry about running out of storage.
So I went into the web interface to restore my files. I think the web interface is very easy to use and I have already reviewed this extensively in my Backblaze review on Cloudbackuping.com. Also you’re going find interesting videos on Backblaze on that page.
One of the good things is that Backblaze stores versions of your files of up to 4 weeks. So I could go in and select the version from yesterday evening were everything was still alright. Look at that:
