Online file storage is very secure

One of the first questions people ask me when I tell them about online backup is: is it really secure? My answer is a resounding yes! But… it really depends on the online backup service. There are very secure online backup services such as Spideroak, Mozy and SOS online backup. And there are less secure online backup services but all the major providers have a decent level of security. However, you should always think twice when storing very sensitive data. Because in the end, you don’t have control over the data that you send to the provider. It is a matter of trust.
