I’ll help you find the best online backup and cloud storage with my reviews
Online backup reviews are not hard to find on the web. But are they really reliable? I have tested all the service providers you find here. I signed up for the services and I paid for them to show you exactly what you’d get. Having a backup strategy is essential. Remember those pictures you took back in 2002 when you and your family went on vacation? The smile of your kids, your spouse or yourself as a younger you? You could loose all of that in a fraction of a second. Zip – your hard drive fails and sending it to a recovery service could cost you thousands of dollars.
Why having off-site storage is important?
Local backups at your home are fine. But not enough. Did you know that every 14.6 seconds a burglary takes places in the US? Adding fires, pipe breaks and other accidents to the list every 0.5 seconds somebody in the US looses all his data! Let alone viruses that could infect your PC and your local backup all at once. An offsite backup service provider is much more secure because they have dedicated data centers, multiple backups and a security guard 24/7.
For most people it is very hard to find online backup services that’s why I have collected reviews of most of the services out there. The good thing is: I have tested all those backup services personally and can therefore give you an honest opinion of their quality. Not every service is good or even secure. And your data is very sensitive. You absolutely need to make the right decision when choosing the company that should take care of your files.
Below you find a couple of reviews I’ve written. These reviews are detailed and crafted with lots of effort. Also, you’ll find detailed tutorial videos for each of the providers that’ll help you decide or set the service up yourself.
Most of us would like an online storage facility where we can backup our data and feel secure in the knowledge that we can retrieve it if in case our computer crashes. There are many online storage facilities available and prominent among them is the cloud based CrashPlan+. Given the fact that it is a cloud based storage facility, you need not worry about the safety and reliability of your data as following in the footsteps of Amazon Drive, CrashPlan+ offers retail users the same facilities as those offered to corporates. What more! You can back up your data from multiple computers and external devices as well. Further, the attractive options like background syncing and backup gives you the facility to continue your work while the data is getting backed up. [click to continue…]

Amazon’s Cloud Drive clearly is online storage rather than backup. Offering 5GB of free storage there is plenty of room to get your files online to access them from anywhere you go. If you need fast storage online you might want to check it out, if you need more than 5GB it is a little expensive, though.

If there was an award for the ugliest looking online backup service ADrive would certainly win this one. Seriously, their website as well as the client look as though they jumped out of a time machine from the 90s. Ignoring the visual aspect of that service, as a free user you get a whopping 50GB of free storage. However, this comes with serious downside which we’ll cover in this review.
