SurDoc Offers 20GB of Free Storage

SurDoc

SurDoc, a well known document backup service, has recently announced that they will be offering users up to 20GB of free cloud storage. The only catch? You have to refer your friends to SurDoc in order to receive the extra storage. If you’re a current SurDoc user and want to refer your friends, login to your SurDoc account and click on the button labeled “Get More Storage!”.

Currently, SurDoc allows users to refer their friends and family via email. Once your referral has completed the signup process, you will both receive extra storage as a gift for spreading the word about SurDoc. Currently, each referral is worth 1GB and an individual user can earn up to 20GB. According to SurDoc, this storage lasts forever.

If you’re not already a SurDoc member, feel free to checkout their website for more information on creating a new account!

EMC Buys Syncplicity

Syncplicity, a well known cloud storage service, was recently acquired by EMC. According to Syncplicity’s blog post, EMC does not plan on making any dramatic changes to Syncplicity except that they will be joining forces to make the service even better.

EMC and Syncplicity hope to guide Fortune 500 companies into a new wave of cloud collaboration and file synchronization. We hope to see more details on this soon as they did not go into detail in their blog post.

If you’re unaware, EMC is a cloud computing giant who owns many cloud storage and backup companies such as Mozy. As of now, EMC has yet to release a final purchase price for Syncplicity.
