Finished and upcoming reviews

Every day, I get e-mails from people asking me to review a certain online backup service. As you know there are probably hundreds of online backup providers out there, so it is impossible to review every one of them. In this post I wanted to give you a little overview what reviews I am planning to do in the near future and also some of the reviews I’ve already done.

Why am I doing this? Well, for one, I want to satisfy all those queries that I get via the different social media channels. On the other hand, I want to pressure myself a little bit to push out new content for Cloudbackuping.com. Most of the reviews I have already in my head, because I used and tested the majority of the services and took some notes. So the only task that is left is to write the review and stitch together some nice videos that you’re used to watch here.

Bitcasa seems to be a very promising new cloud storage and syncing service that offers UNLIMITED storage and syncing capacity for your files. In my post I did an extensive Bitcasa review where I detected a severe flaw: it didn’t sync well between two Macs. I have an iMac and a Macbook Pro (Late 2009) and I desperately need that feature. The way to get my files in sync was to relaunch the client every time I made an update but that is obviously too tedious on the long run.

Today, I received an email by a support staff (after around two weeks of sending this problem ;) ) and they told me a new version has been released. So I went to the download page and immediately installed the new client eager to find out if it now works or not. Look at the results in this video:
